Pulitzer Prize winner and political cartoonist Harold Morton Talburt was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1895. Talburt's first job as a cartoonist was for the Scripps-Howard news bureau in Washington in 1921. Later he worked for the Washington Daily News. He was awarded the Pulitzer in 1933 for his editorial cartoon, "The Light of Asia," and was said to have enjoyed drawing Presidents Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt the most.
